There are a few things in this life that make me really REALLY happy. Typography, art and flowers are some of the top ones. So I was thrilled when I received an invitation to participate in Prøve Gallery's Type Exhibition, next July 8th, because I get to merge these together and show them off at a pretty awesome place.
Sadly, I wont be able to get to Duluth, Minnesota at this time, but hopefully, my letters "O" & "P" arrived there safely!
TAKE A LOOK!
The "O" was made out of wood, real flowers and gold acrylic paint. This is a combination of things that represent things I love and appreciate from this world. And even though it was risky to ship this knowing that flowers eventually perish, I hope viewers enjoy the ephemerality of these in the material plane and keep their timeless beauty in their minds.
The "P," in the other hand, showcases my skills as an illustrator, still keeping those elements I love so much and merging them with a new element: drawing.
I hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them, and if by any chance in this world, you happen to be in Duluth, Minnesota this month, pass by Prøve Gallery and take a look at these beauties IRL.
